So my life in snow-covered sub-arctic Baltimore improves just a little bit today as the Orioles' first spring training in Sarasota kicks off at noon. That is the pitchers' and catchers' official report time so Wieters, Matusz and the gang are all showing up at Ed Smith stadium about now.
I wish that I could be out there getting autographs from everyone today but am looking forward to my trip to Sarasota in early March. It will be my first time at the stadium so anyone who might have some autograph tips, please send them my way.
Reading the reports and seeing the pictures from all of the websites who send their reporters to Sarasota will more than brighten my day; this is when my winter officially ends and baseball begins!
The O's don't have many battles on the 25 man roster this season but I will keep an eye on the backup middle infield spot as well as a few openings in the bullpen.
Let's Go O's! This is the season we break the 12 year losing streak!

I'm jealous. I hope you have a great time in Sarasota next month.
The local news tonight had an on field interview with DT on the field at Sarasota. He was talking into a MASN mike. I am pumped for ST!!
Thanks Paul! It's easy to get down there since my fiance's family lives an hour away.
Sals-I saw that interview too! I'm really excited.
Go O's!
moe.
Thanks Moe, this might be the year that we finally aren't horrible at least.
