11/16/09 4:21PM ESTBALTIMORE-- The Great Orioles Autograph Project blog has named Nolan Reimold the 2009 American League Rookie of the Year. Reimold had an amazing rookie campaign in which he hit .279 with 15 HRs, 45 RBI and 49 runs scored, even though he played over 100 games with a fraying Achilles tendon. It was an amazing rookie season for this very promising Orioles outfielder.

The fraying achilles tendon doesn't sound too good for his long-term success as a MLB player.
Laurens-Nolan had successful surgery to repair his Achilles problem after the season and should be good to go for Spring Training. I think all us O's fans are hoping that he is ready!
