"O"pening Day at the Yard

Rick Sutcliffe-the man who started the first game ever at Camden Yards

So I finally get to see my O's play a regular season game in person today. I don't mean to sound whiny but the Orioles almost always open the season in Baltimore and it's been tough to watch the season start and not be able to get to a game yet.

The Birds won last night and avoided a sweep at the hands of the Rays in Tampa but our new closer, Mike "the Cobra" Gonzalez loaded the bases in the 9th before getting Ben Zobrist to fly out to Nick Markakis. I won't lie and say that I wasn't sweating but it's nice to get that first win out of the way before the Home Opener.

I hope to see all of you O's fans at the Yard today, I will be sitting down the left field line.

Can't believe you didn't mention that Sutcliffe appearance was a shutout. Those were the days...

Thanks Moe! Those were the days, of mullets and beards and winning baseball.
